In the wise words of Carrie Bradshaw, "There are only two times when it's appropriate to wear the little black dress in daylight; one involves leaving a party way too late, the other involves leaving the party way too early." It's never appropriate in -10 C weather, but I'm trying to make it happen for my love of pyjamas. Pyjama Day in elementary school was like my own personal heaven, but now I'm in my 20's and frumpy dumpy pyjama pants just won't do -- see Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton. Although, this isn't a piece from that particular collection it is almost definitely 'inspired by' it and sold at Zara for an eighth of the price. Speaking of the weather... I never really contemplated how hard it would be to wear outfits that I like and share them on this blog in Saskatchewan's Arctic winters. Some days all a person can really wear is their winter boots, a giant puffer jacket, a toque and mittens. SO to my fellow Canadian bloggers: how do you do it?! Finding an indoor location can prove to be difficult when taking factors such as lighting, background, access, etc. into account. On the other hand, taking photos outside means frost bite and snow across the face. I guess it's all part of learning to cope with ones circumstances and could be the reason for the relative lack of Canadian fashion sites and bloggers - sometimes all a person can do in cold weather is curl up in bed with a big bowl of Mac'n Cheese, a cup of tea and The Mindy Project.
