It's funny to think about how much a person transforms in their early 20's. Gone are those teenage days where all that mattered was 'Who am I going to sit with at lunch? Do I have anyone to sit with at lunch? I hope someone notices my brand new Creative Rec sneakers that I spent my entire Booster Juice paycheque on.' A person learns that being called 'Orange Face' isn't the end of the world (it creates thick skin) and really, that's what I get for wearing mass amounts of bronzer. Finally, a persons early twenties are a great time to (lose their virginity) ,I mean, explore their personal style. It's all about being comfortable with who you are and discovering what you want to represent. Stay in your own lane, wear your own heels and remember that a little color and print is the key to a vibrant life. When a person thinks of high school there is always that one girl--the prettiest, the nicest, every guy liked her and every girl wanted to be her best friend (Serena Van der Woodsen? -- yes I'm making another Gossip Girl reference). At my high school this girl was Brittany Schneider. Now don't get me wrong, she is no mean girl. She is kind to everyone that crosses her path and as smart as they come. It was nice to catch up with Brittany and see that she hasn't lost these qualities. Currently studying Kinesiology at the U of S --Brittany spends her spare time reading makeup blogs and cheerleading for the Saskatchewan Roughriders (can't you tell by those legs?). Let's get to know her...
1. Your ideal Boyfriend’s Closet would be: Steve McQueen, ASAP Rocky or Ryan Gosling?
Ryan Gosling all the way.
2. MACS Studded Kiss or NARS Shanghai Express?
This is a hard one for me! I love the NARS lipstick formula, but as for the colors themselves, I would have to go with Studded Kiss by MAC.
3. Favorite place in Saskatoon?
So many places come to mind, but to pick a favorite I would have to say The Mendel Art Gallery. I can't say I go there as often as I would like, but I have very fond memories of many visits there with my dad when I was younger. It was our go-to spot. It's a beautiful and relaxing place to be!
4. What is the best staple piece in your closet?
The best staple piece in my closet at the moment would have to be a pair of boyfriend jeans by Rag & Bone. There are so many ways to style them and you can wear them with almost anything! They're a good mix of comfy and cute.
5. If you’re style was a candy what would it be?
Tough question! I think I would say milk chocolate - simple and classic, but can also be mixed with other things too.
6. What’s your spirit animal?
The first animal that comes to mind is a lion, I've always been drawn to them. It could be because of their courage and intelligence, but also because of their wonderful manes!
