During my recent #vegasvacay I ended up extending the trip and consequently switched hotels for the last few nights. Out of convenience we searched for places near by. The hotel across the road looked interesting and we were like 'Hey, didn't that guy from The Real World Las Vegas two seasons ago stay here after he got kicked out of the Hard Rock? It must be cool'. And it was... kind of... The decor was cute , but it was almost as if it had a big sparkly band aid covering a nasty wound. The room was kind of dirty and up close all the furnishing felt cheap and seemed to be falling apart. It was like a designer collaboration with Walmart - all the design, none of the quality. Thankfully, we weren't at the hotel very much. Strangely enough one of our best days in Vegas happened while staying at our glamorous Walmart inspired hotel. It began with relaxing in the hammocks by the pool. The palm trees and the sun were enough to make it feel like paradise. Once I was done relaxing we did a little shopping, followed by a fantastic dinner at Nobu, an unbelievable performance by Kid Cudi on The Cosmopolitan rooftop and a little gambling for a night cap. The hardest part was deciding what to wear to these different events; I wanted something versatile, but not too dressy and this ensemble fit the bill. The Multi colored silk plaid shirt I had been yearning over for months needed to make it's debut. I paired it with denim cutoffs for the day and switched it up with a layered skirt to achieve a going-out vibe at night.
