Tourist -noun 1. A person travelling to a destination for recreational, leisure or business purposes who can be spotted by their apparent lack of fashion sense (often seen in socks & sandals, a common favourite, or better yet, a cheesy hawaiian T-shirt paired with baggy cargo shorts). On our last day of the trip we decided to walk the entire strip. We had a redeye flight and 12 hours to kill and for some reason thought that this would be the best thing to do (also it was the best way save for cab fare to get to the outlet malls). Before heading out we got ready separately and ended up wearing almost matching Hawaiian button-up tee shirts. Instead of changing we decided to just go with it. I, sorry, we looked like one of those annoying matching couples. But even better, annoying tourist couples. And we were…we stopped at every hotel along the way, got people to take photos for us and walked all the way to Circus Circus just to see it- Zach has a slight James Bond obsession (the casino was featured in Diamond’s Are Forever – Sean Connery’s last official outing as James Bond). After four hours of walking and a short cab ride to the outlet mall we were off the the airport and finally ready to head home.
PS Do you remember that show 'The Club' on Spike about what happened behind the scenes of the standalone night club in Vegas (it was called ICE)? I vaguely recalled it’s existence walking past it.
