Whether you're throwing or attending a party it's always nice to bring something cute -- it could be cocktails, baking or even balloons. December is a great month to experiment with your party favors - Holiday gatherings, the end of finals and of course New Years! If a person does choose to be adventurous and go with balloons one major factor that should be taken into consideration: driving visibility. It turns out putting balloons in the back of a car will severely effect a persons ability to see out the rear view mirror. Who would have guessed? Surprisingly, my inability to see out the back of the car was not the thing that almost got me in an accident... It was the popping of a ballon (warning #2). Did I just hit something? Is someone shooting at my car?? I might as well just stop, scream and have a panic attack. The things we do for a party!
Frakas' assortment lends itself to a night on the town. The store has particular aesthetic--hippie meets city girl--and is always consistent. They carry brands like Mink Pink and Lovely Girl, along with tons of cute accessories that make up the store. With locations in the heart of downtown and East-side suburb, Erindale, Frakas is always there for your last minute party dress needs.
I fell in love with this dress the moment I tried it on and was excited to style it with all of Frakas' costume jewelry and accessories. The outfit has an old Hollywood glam vibe: long elegant dress, classic fur collar coat, chandelier earrings and a satin bag. I'm usually not one for earrings, but as of late I've really been into the idea of large dangling gems on my lobes (these earrings would also look great with a plain tee and jeans). I paired the look with these super chic balloons they are like the best you can get in the city, for reals so Kiesh, the Chanel of balloons simple black heels from Swank Shoe Lounge that give height while still maintaining the flow of the dress. In the end, the outfit was something out of an old James Bond - one of Sean Connery's Bond Girls would wear this to the mysterious cocktail date.
